  • September 5– New Member Orientation at 5:30 PM in our  orientation zoom room. Attending an orientation is required of all new TimeBank members. These short (usually less than an hour) meetings allow us to get to know you, answer any questions you might have, and show you how the TimeBank works!
  • September 13- Baila Fridays at 5:30 PM at Boyer Park. Join Baila Fitness for Zumba in the park, snacks, and more. Every second Friday this summer and fall. Partial funding for this project has been provided by the Gordie Howe International Bridge Community Benefits plan.
  • September 17- Family Game Night from 6-8 PM at Amanda’s House (1575 Military). Bring a dish to share for a potluck dinner or just bring yourself. All ages are welcome!
  • September 20- Group Bike Ride starting at 6 PM at Clark Park (corner of W Vernor Hwy and Scotten). All biking abilities are welcome. We take a slow pace, returning to the park by 8 PM. If you don’t have your own bicycle we can rent one for you from the nearby Mogo station. These rides are monthly on the third Friday of the month through the summer.
  • September 24- Monthly TimeBank Planning Meeting at 6 PM in our planning zoom link. These meetings are open to all our TimeBank members to hear about what is going on with the TimeBank and to contribute your ideas for events and projects. We always love to have new people involved.
  • September 25- TimeBank Happy Hour from 5-7 PM at Donovan’s Pub. Come enjoy a beverage with other TimeBank members. We’ll provide some light snacks. Folks interested in joining the TimeBank or learning more are also invited to join in.
  • October 3- New Member Orientation at 5:30 PM in our orientation zoom room. Attending an orientation is required of all new TimeBank members. These short (usually less than an hour) meetings allow us to get to know you, answer any questions you might have, and show you how the TimeBank works!
  • October 5- MI Alliance of TimeBanks Learning Circle from 11 AM to 1 PM either in person at 6900 McGraw or over zoom.
  • October 14- Save the Date for Dia de Los Muertos Ofrenda
  • October 17- Book Club Meeting at 6:30 PM at 27th Letter Books (3546 Michigan Avenue). We will be discussing The Odyssey by Homer- specifically a new translation by Emily Wilson. The book is available for purchase at 27th Letter Books.
  • October 20- Our Annual Cider Mill Trip to Apple Charlies! If you’d like to carpool with the TimeBank, we’ll be departing Southwest Detroit around 2 PM to arrive at Apple Charlies in New Boston around 3 PM. The TimeBank will purchase cider and donuts for everyone and pay for apple picking. There are lots of activities for all ages including farm animals, corn maze (new this year!), hay rides, pony rides, and more.   • October 22- Pumpkin Carving Party from 6-8 PM at Amanda’s house (1575 Military). Instead of Game Night we always carve pumpkins in October! We will provide the carving supplies, you bring a pumpkin! All ages are welcome and we’ll share a potluck dinner as well.
  • October 23- TimeBank Happy Hour from 5:30-7:30 PM at Donovan’s Pub. Come enjoy a beverage with other TimeBank members. We’ll provide some light snacks. Folks interested in joining the TimeBank or learning more are also invited to join in.
