All of these events are open to the public.

Full Calendar:

  • Aug 6- New Member Orientations from 5:30- 6:30 PM at this zoom link. Orientations are a required part of joining the TimeBank, but can also be great refreshers for folks who have been members. Usually takes less than an hour.
  • Aug 6- SWD Mutual Aid Hub Planning Committee Meeting from 6pm-7pm at Grace In Action (1725 Lawndale). Come help plan and design a new mutual aid hub for our community orgs participating in mutual aid that will be located in the basement of GIA.
  • Aug 8- Congress of Communities 4th Annual Summer Splash- TimeBank Clothing Swap table from 2-5pm at Congress of Communities (4870 St. Hedwig St). Bring clothing in good condition and take what you need. We do need TimeBank volunteers!
  • Aug 11- Grace In Action- Youth In Action Expo from 1pm-6pm (1725 Lawndale St). The TimeBank will have a resource table and we need volunteers! This event supports local vendors and GIA’s 5 youth cooperatives that formed this summer. The youth designed their own products, created business modles and operating agreements, and made their marketing materials.
  • Aug 18- Game Night from 6-8 PM at Amanda’s House (1575 Military). We’ll share a meal and play some fun board or card games. Bring a dish to share for a potluck dinner or just bring yourself. All ages are welcome!
  • Aug 25- Monthly TimeBank Planning Meeting at 6 PM in our planning zoom link. These meetings are open to all our TimeBank members to hear about what is going on with the TimeBank and to contribute your ideas for events and projects. We always love to have new people involved.
  • Aug 26- TimeBank Happy Hour from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Donovan’s Pub (3003 W. Vernor Hwy). Come enjoy a drink with other TimeBank members. We will have some light snacks.
  • Aug 23- MI Alliance of TimeBank Summer Picnic at the Ypsilanti Farmers Market in the afternoon. Let us know if you would like to carpool or have extra seats in your vehicle! Register here: https://forms.gle/gDo4Q3B8FeQKjDmc9
  • Aug 28- Bridging Communities Back to School Resource Fair from 4pm-7pm. The TimeBank would like to have a resource table at this event but we need volunteers to do shifts.
  • No Aug; Sept 20- Book Club at 3 PM at 27th Letter Books (3546 Michigan Ave). In September we are discussing Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant by Curtis Chin, purchase your book from 27th Letter or borrow it from the Detroit Library.
