Upcoming TimeBank Events/Próximos eventos
Below are both events from UOC TimeBank and events hosted by some of our partner organizations (Congress of Communities, MI Alliance of TimeBanks, LGBTQ+ Intergenerational TimeBank) that we think TimeBank members may be interested in.
All of these events are open to the public.
Full Calendar:
- May 31- Vegan Dessert Cooking Class with Mama RavinRegina at 5 PM at Bridging Communities (6900 McGraw). Our favorite chef is back and will be teaching us how to make a few different Vegan desserts.
- June 1- New Member Orientation at 5:30 PM in our orientation zoom room. Attending an orientation is required of all new TimeBank members. These short (usually less than an hour) meetings allow us to get to know you, answer any questions you might have, and show you how the TimeBank works!
- June 3- MI Alliance of TimeBank Learning Circle from 11- 1 PM. You can either participate over at the Learning Circle zoom link or in person at 6900 McGraw. These meetings are a chance for folks from different TimeBanks to get to know one another and share wisdom. For our June topic we will be talking about how to start a TimeBank (and how to keep existing TimeBanks going). All are welcome!
- June 6- Book Club Meeting at 6 PM at Mary Clare’s house (4061 Porter). We will be discussing Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. All are welcome!
- June 13- Family Game Night from 6-8 PM at Amanda’s House (1575 Military). Bring a dish to share for a potluck dinner or just bring yourself. All ages are welcome! If the weather is good we will be outside.
- June 16- Group Bike Ride meeting at 6 PM at the corner of Scotten and W Vernor Hwy. A slow roll around the neighborhood- all ages and abilities welcome. If you don’t have your own bicycle we can rent a Mogo for you. Every 3rd Friday of the month all summer.
- June 21- Bike Repair Workshop with SW Rides from 4-6 PM at SW Rides (2026 Lawndale St). Everyone who attends will get a patch kit to take home. Limited number of bike lights will also be given out.
